Peter has been involved in the Criminal Justice system for in excess of 25 years. After training as a psychiatric nurse he began employment as a Probation and Parole Officer in 1986. In 1991 Peter began with the Legal Aid Commission initially with the Veterans Law section. Since 1997 Peter has been employed exclusively in Criminal Law and has extensive experience in all areas of Criminal Law representation. Five years as a Local Court practitioner in which he had almost daily attendance at Court was followed by a wide exposure to the District and Supreme Court. Peter has appeared in numerous high profile and serious matters before the District and Supreme Courts as well as before the Court of Criminal Appeal and the High Court. Between 2004 and 2009 Peter was the Senior Criminal Solicitor and Solicitor in Charge of the Parramatta Branch of Legal Aid. Since being at the Bar Peter has successfully conducted numerous trial and hearings. Peter's extensive experience in every facet of Criminal Law has given him a very sound background to appear for you in any Criminal Law matter.
