Lucien Gration

Experience

Lucien specialises in criminal defence with a particular focus on advocacy in jury and judge-alone trials. He regularly appears for people in all NSW Courts across the state.
Lucien routinely represents people charged with Commonwealth and State indictable and summary offences including drug importation and supply, sexual and other serious assaults, robberies, fraud and serious property offences.
Lucien has appeared unled in jury and judge-alone trials in the District Court. He has successfully appeared in trials for aggravated sexual assault, aggravated robbery, kidnapping and sexual touching.
Prior to being called to the bar, Lucien was a solicitor advocate at the Aboriginal Legal Service. He has appeared in sentences in the District Court and countless hearings in the Local and Children’s Court.
He has also presented talks to solicitors on the Evidence Act and excluding prosecution evidence.
Whilst Lucien’s practice is predominantly criminal law, he also accepts briefs in a range of other matters including for coronial matters, high risk offender matters and torts (including claims against the State of NSW for unlawful arrest, assault and battery).
